Welcome to the Greater Whitsunday Distillery, a family owned and operated business in the beautiful Whitsunday Region in North Queensland, Australia. Harnessing the tropical climate with our rich fertile soil and using only the highest quality produce, we specialise in hand-crafted distilling from sugar cane to spirit.
We are proud that all produce used for our range of spirits is either grown on our family farm or sourced locally from farmers in the Greater Whitsunday region. Applying sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices is important to us, and we are confident that these efforts are reflected in the quality and unique flavours of our products.

OUR LOCATION
Located on the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, the Greater Whitsunday region includes the Whitsunday, as well as the Mackay and Isaac regional councils. Spanning over 90,000 square kilometres, the area encompasses the pristine wilderness and diverse beauty of the 74 Whitsunday Islands, tropical rainforests, sandy beaches and coral reefs.
OUR PRODUCTS
At Greater Whitsunday Distillery we provide high-quality and naturally gluten free spirits created from home grown and locally sourced produce. Our first offering is the Greater Whitsunday Vodka which is our signature spirit. We are also currently in the process of experimentation to develop new and distinctive flavours for a variety of spirits including Rum, Gin, Schnapps and French-style Rhum Agricole.
OUR FOOTPRINT
At Greater Whitsunday Distillery, we have control over the process from growing the sugar cane in the paddock to bottling the spirit. Our method of farming and distilling maximises the use of the whole plant and its many by-products, and most of the waste that occurs during the process is returned to the farm for the next cycle.
